Kit Gateley loves her clarinet and toe-tapping music. Both keep her from over-dosing on her computer-immersed day job running an Internet hosting & software development company. In addition to "Bukitski", she plays in "The North Park Winds" - a woodwind quintet and "Lukshun Kup" - a Klezmer band. Classical to Klezmer - it doesn't get any better than this!
Skylar Mahal continues her life-long journey of exploring her many musical talents, including classical and jazz violin, Bluegrass fiddle, drum set, symphonic percussion, banjo, keyboards and many other instruments. In addition to composing, she teaches private music lessons to individuals and groups. Her teaching goal is to demystify music learning and improvisation. Additionally, Skylar is a passionate historian of various music styles and their cultures.

Boo Briggs is relatively new to the standing bass, having set her guitar and piano skills aside 20 years ago. She's happy now that she learned to read music and play the piano at an early age. And she loves the double bass -- its resonant tones, its size, its big bass persona.

Ellen Hines plays a mean guitar and joins us when she can.... Unfortunately, she is in San Francisco most of the time - and somehow Bukitski just cannot compete with teaching geography and environmental studies at San Francisco State. Well, not yet, at least...
